Understanding Ways to Help Chronic Back Pain with Adapted Pilates-Based Exercise Date: 5th April 2025Time: 1:30pm - 4:30pm Course Objectives: Participants will: Gain knowledge of how Pilates-based Back Care sessions can help improve spinal stability and functionality. Understand the role of Pilates-based Back Care Exercises in supporting lumbopelvic stability. Examine the impact of "Lower Cross Syndrome" on posture, including: Identifying both effective conditioning exercises and appropriate mobility and flexibility exercises to address common Lower Cross Syndrome imbalances. Learning how to coach and perform these exercises effectively and efficiently. Examine the impact of "Upper Cross Syndrome" on posture, including: Identifying both effective conditioning exercises and appropriate mobility and flexibility exercises to address common Upper Cross Syndrome imbalances. Learning how to perform these exercises correctly. Explore the benefits of Pilates-based Back Care Exercises for overall wellbeing and mental health. Develop an understanding of the basic structure of the spine, supporting muscles, and general biomechanics of movement. Course Structure: 1:30pm - 2:00pm: Introduction & Theoretical Foundation Overview of spinal structure, biomechanics, and supporting muscles. Basic introduction to lumbopelvic stability and its role in back care. 2:00pm - 2:45pm: Understanding Lower Cross Syndrome & Practical Session Explanation of Lower Cross Syndrome and its effect on posture. Demonstration and practice of targeted conditioning and mobility exercises. Coaching techniques for effective and efficient performance. 2:45pm - 3:30pm: Understanding Upper Cross Syndrome & Practical Session Explanation of Upper Cross Syndrome and its effect on posture. Demonstration and practice of targeted conditioning and mobility exercises. Guidance on correct performance techniques. 3:30pm - 4:00pm: The Broader Benefits of Pilates-Based Back Care Exploring the mental health and overall wellbeing benefits. Discussion on integrating Pilates into daily routines. 4:00pm - 4:30pm: Q&A and Closing Summary Recap of key learnings. Event will be held in Aberystwyth Venue TBC. £35 (Early Bird £25 before March 15th) Handout Included

Booking Policy for RBHFITNESS Wellness Retreat Day Thank you for your interest in the RBHFITNESS Wellness Retreat Day. Please review the following booking guidelines before securing your place. 1. We will do our best to accommodate your requirements, but advance notice is essential. 4. Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the event for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event may result in a cancellation fee or loss of the booking fee, unless due to extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical emergency). 5. Booking on the Day Same-day bookings may be available, subject to space. However, we strongly advise booking in advance to secure your place. 6. Refunds & Transfers Refunds will be issued in accordance with our cancellation policy. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your booking to another person with prior approval from RBHFITNESS. 7. Event Changes or Cancellations RBHFITNESS reserves the right to modify or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, low attendance). In such cases, participants will be notified promptly, and alternative arrangements or refunds will be offered. 8. Liability Disclaimer Participation in the retreat is at your own risk.
